Hands On Suncoast
United Way Hands On was founded in 1998 by Neil Eggers and Patti Rice as Hands On Birmingham. The board of directors had a clear vision for the organization: to connect people with organized and meaningful volunteer opportunities to improve their community. Over the past 20 years, United Way Hands On has grown from providing opportunities for 105 volunteers to more than 6,700.
Goal
Hands On Suncoast hired me at NPSAPPS to create a mobile application that will allow the administration and staff to collect monetary donations, provide a way to sign up for volunteer opportunities, and notify the community of their resources and involvement.

A page that features important information about Hands On Suncoast such as their location, website link, phone number, email address, and office hours.
Blog
A convenient way to display news, upcoming events, community involvement, and other important information. The posts are taken from the Hands On Suncoast website and loaded directly into the app!
Fan Wall
Fan Wall feature increases the engagement of volunteers and donors within the mobile app. Users are able to comment, ask questions, share photos, and discuss Hands On Suncoast activities with other users.
Volunteer Map
An interactive search experience that is a great way to draw attention to hot volunteer opportunities in the Tri County Tampa Bay area. Users can narrow their search by using the bottom navigation to select a county; Pinellas, Hillsborough, or Manatee, they would like to make a difference in.
Users can easily access activity details, contact information, addresses and GPS directions for each opportunity.
The Final Product
Gold Club published in both the Google Play and iTunes app stores.
