Kaskade Album Cover
Ryan Gary Raddon, better known as Kaskade, is an American electronic DJ and record producer. Kaskade emerged as one of the most successful American progressive house DJs of the 2000s. His bright uplifting dance anthems earned him; a steady presence on the U.S. dance charts into the 2010s, voted DJ Times "America's Best DJ" in 2011 & 2013, the 51st spot on DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs of 2009, and nominated for two Grammy Awards: the song "Atmosphere" for Best Dance Recording and the album Atmosphere for Best Dance/Electronica Album in 2013. In 2010, Kaskade became the resident DJ of Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas, NV, and was the 2012 Ultra Music Festival headliner in Miami, FL.

Sketches
I started out the project by writing down some notes about the artist; his discography, a list of my favorite songs, and a small biography of his life. I then let my creative juices flow by sketching out 5 different ideas for the cover art and narrowing down to one final idea. I ultimately decided to go with idea #1.
Prototype
This project took about 3 weeks to complete from initial concept, ideation, prototype to the final product.
I used several Adobe Illustrator techniques to create the sunburst ray effect on the CD label, front/back covers, and for strobe light effect on the inside jacket. I used this opportunity to import a futuristic font family to emphasize the electric nature of the music.
